Rivers of words are written about water and ocean pollution—caused by plastics, microplastics, and other pollutants. In many places, access to clean drinking water is critical, leading to disease and degradation.
Water, the blue gold, is SDG6 of the 2030 Agenda—a vital resource that must be protected. How? We can all play our part: as consumers, by avoiding waste and using water responsibly, as industries, by producing sustainably, reducing harmful emissions, and adopting eco-friendly materials and practices. To raise awareness and educate, we can all take part in cleanup activities, such as the many “Clean up the Ocean” projects around the world.
