The ethics behind every seam
The Seama project originates from the desire to offer a conscious purchasing choice , in which the quality of artisan work , the circular economy of fashion through the upcycling technique, Made in Italy and a production approach that relates to all stakeholders with the utmost respect are privileged.
To the question "which bag to choose" we want to answer with a sustainable bag, in line with the UN 2030 Agenda, the Green Deal and the principles of circular economy theories.
Respect for the environment and for people: our pillars
We are the environment we live in, so we are committed to changing it with our actions and choices. The concepts behind our idea of sustainable fashion and textile innovation can be summarized as:
• Circular economy : extending the value of products by giving them a new life. Think circular encourages the responsible use of resources and saves materials from becoming waste.
• Upcycling : recovering materials through a creative process that increases the value of the starting material.
• Zero waste : reduce waste during production, with the particular aim of reducing CO2 emissions.
• Be fair : work ethics at the core. We treat all our stakeholders with respect, from production staff to suppliers, from consultants to end consumers. They prioritize quantity over quality.
• Be unique : we promote the uniqueness of our products, highlighting the craftsmanship. Each piece of Seama is unrepeatable because it is made with certain fabrics limited in quantity and production waste.
• Local and Global : our sustainable bags are designed and Made in Italy, but the approach towards the world is totally open to encourage cross contamination of materials and collaborations.
• Give back : we support social projects in line with our values.
Our packaging is sustainable
We take care of sustainability in every aspect of our products and our packaging is also sustainable. We work in terms of eco-design of packaging, always taking care to protect the product but with the aim of reducing waste to a minimum , saving raw materials, using only packaging from renewable sources.
We are committed to using recyclable packaging or packaging made from recycled materials and encourage its reuse.
Our boxes, paper and labels are made from FSC recycled paper.
We tend to limit the use of plastic materials and the plastic we use is recyclable, recycled or compostable . Our choice towards responsible and sustainable packaging implies a price and a significantly higher value as a guarantee of the quality of the supply chain.
We invite our customers to reuse the packaging and to dispose of it correctly.
