From May 7 to 23, the Sustainable Development Festival will take place all over Italy, with many themed events: protecting biodiversity, water, and the seas, but above all, focusing on the major issues of climate change and human rights. Despite recent events—wars and crises that are a great concern for everyone—it is important not to shift the spotlight away from sustainability issues, from the goals of the 2030 Agenda, and the 17 SDGs. ASviS helps us remember them by monitoring the current state of our country for each goal, highlighting the remaining challenges, programs, themes, and possible solutions.
In addition to scholars, researchers, and institutions, schools and universities, the Sustainable Development Festival aims to raise awareness among all citizens, encouraging them not to look away and not to remain indifferent, as illustrated in the video. Because every small action counts.
At Seama, we work on several SDGs: SDG 12 is a core element of our company because we are inspired by the principles of the Circular Economy, reducing textile waste and giving new life to materials by extending their useful lifespan. We are also committed to SDG 5, SDG 8, and SDG 14. We share and invite everyone to keep attention high in order to improve the conditions of our planet and its people.
